“Life is not primarily a matter of brainstorming to find the right answer, but of constantly stretching your capacity to live the question.”
Viktor E. Frankl
Why I was born? What is the purpose of my life?
This questions keep coming to my mind for many years.
I am sure even you would have such sort of thoughts in your mind so many times and you would also have sometimes, decided something as your purpose.
Congratulations !!! as you ever made up your mind and even worked on it and were happy having achieved it.
Then this article is not for you.
This is about thee who was afraid of finding thy own purpose.
Afraid to face thyself and afraid to make a mistake or was afraid to regretting for thy decisions.
The purpose of life is simply to find a purpose and achieve it.
However, finding the purpose is potentially the most grilling task as the
purpose has to represent one’ s meaning of life
- purpose has to be one that inspires you
- purpose has to be one that will instill the happiness and eagerness in you just because you want to do it.
- purpose where each moment of your journey is relished by you
- purpose that will not lead to any worries or regrets, rather fuels a instinct to come over this with the end goal in mind
- purpose for which any feeling of pain and sacrifice gets surmountable as you know you are still on right path
- purpose that helps you to find yourself.
Does it look too confusing ?
Let us deliberate little bit on them
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Finding Your Purpose: A Neverending Quest
Finding your purpose is a journey, not a destination. It’s about discovering what gives your life meaning, what ignites your passion, and what makes you feel fulfilled. It’s not about finding a path devoid of challenges, but rather one that equips you with the strength and resilience to face them.
Qualities of a True Purpose
A true purpose should:
- Reflect your values: Is it something you deeply believe in and are passionate about?
- Inspire you: Does the thought of pursuing it fill you with excitement and motivation?
- Bring you joy: Does the journey itself bring you happiness and a sense of fulfillment?
- Challenge you to grow: Does it push you outside your comfort zone and help you become the best version of yourself?
Your purpose is the guiding light that helps you navigate life’s ups and downs. It’s the reason you get up in the morning and the fuel that keeps you going. It’s a constant work in progress, a journey of self-discovery that unfolds throughout your life.
So, what is your purpose? I encourage you to reflect on your values, passions, and aspirations. Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! Let’s embark on this quest for purpose together.
