Concept of Growth
Growth is a prevalent concept today and an integral part of our lives. The joy of a mother witnessing her child’s growth comes with the responsibility of ensuring comprehensive development in various aspects such as physical, emotional, mental, education, sports, music, drama, and more. Through this process, the mother herself grows mentally as she handles the upbringing of her children.
Giving undivided attention to their kids is crucial for their all-round growth, as neglecting this may compromise growth in certain areas. However, does the child truly stop growing? Perhaps not, as we all age with each passing day. Yet, aging alone does not equate to growth.
It is essential for us to identify our growth areas and consistently make efforts to progress. In this context, the mother faced challenges and persistently worked towards fostering her child’s development. The mother’s role in her child’s growth is multifaceted and encompasses various aspects such as physical, emotional, mental, educational, and recreational development. As she navigates these responsibilities, the mother also undergoes personal growth, expanding her own mental capabilities. Devoting uninterrupted attention to her children is crucial for their holistic development, as neglecting this can hinder progress in specific areas.
However, growth does not cease with age alone; it requires conscious effort and self-reflection. Thus, the mother faced obstacles and consistently strived to nurture her child’s development. It is vital for us to identify areas for growth and consistently strive to improve. The mother in the given context faced challenges and persistently worked to support her child’s development. Her role encompassed various aspects such as physical, emotional, mental, educational, and recreational growth. As she fulfilled these responsibilities, the mother also experienced personal growth, expanding her own mental capacities. Providing undivided attention to her children is crucial for their comprehensive development, as neglecting this can impede progress in specific areas. However, growth is not limited to age alone; it necessitates conscious effort and self-reflection. Thus, the mother encountered obstacles and continuously endeavored to foster her child’s development. This embodies the below saying by Napoleon Hill.
Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.

So, why I am writing all this?
Just to emphasize below points:
- Ageing is not growing.
- Growth in desired directions is not guaranteed, unless there is continuous efforts from all of us, in the directions / aspects that we want to grow..
- We have to choose how we want to grow in our life and set our priorities accordingly.
So, now what??
Let us reflect on below points now:
- Do we know, what is it that we really want from life?
- Are we on right track to achieve what we are looking for in our life?
- What are the skills that I will need to get what I want?
- Who will be the people, whom I will need to get there?
- How will I know that this is the road that I have to take to reach there?
These are really thought provoking points and we should truly reflect on these points and aspire to get their answers.
As part of this blog, we would make an effort to get these answers and also, enjoy the journey together. I would share what true growth means for me in my next post.
Till then
